Carbon Key Storage · Existing Operations
A home for the automobiles that matter.
Carbon Key provides private collector vehicle storage and coordinates the services surrounding significant automobiles. From vehicle intake and condition documentation to authorized vehicle care, transport, collection support, and sales representation, our approach extends beyond simply parking a car.

The location of the existing facility is confidential and is not published.
What exists today is only the beginning.
Our next stage of development is taking shape at 1040 Route 23 in Wayne, New Jersey, where Carbon Key is developing a larger automotive campus designed to bring vehicle storage, retail, service, and collection management together.
The Storage Experience
How a significant automobile is actually stored and cared for.
A clear process — not a slogan. Services marked Current are offered today through Carbon Key's existing storage operation. Services marked Planned for Wayne are part of the 1040 Route 23 expansion.
Vehicle Inquiry & Eligibility Review
Every request is reviewed by Carbon Key. We confirm the vehicle, the owner's authority, and the right storage plan before anything moves.
Storage Plan Selection
Monthly, seasonal, annual, long-term, or full collection management — matched to the vehicle and the owner's intent.
Scheduling & Vehicle Intake
A controlled intake is scheduled. Enclosed transport can be coordinated through Carbon Key where needed.
Condition Documentation
Mileage, fuel, battery, exterior and interior condition, and existing damage are recorded at the moment a vehicle enters storage.
Secure Vehicle Placement
Vehicles are placed in a managed, climate-controlled environment with controlled access and logged movement.
Authorized Maintenance & Care
Authorized maintenance is coordinated on the owner's request and schedule — never automatic. Service requires client authorization.
Transport Coordination
Enclosed transport, import/export, and event movement are arranged through Carbon Key's existing transport network.
Collection Management
For multi-vehicle collectors, Carbon Key coordinates titles, insurance review, appraisals, service, and documentation across the portfolio.
Client Retrieval Requests
Owners request a vehicle and Carbon Key prepares it — battery, tires, detail, fuel — and coordinates delivery or collection. Retrieval is scheduled, not instant.
Preparation for Sales, Events, or Delivery
At the Wayne campus, on-site detailing, body, paint, and a delivery bay bring preparation under one roof — planned as part of the expansion.
Every inquiry connects to Carbon Key's existing Storage and CRM systems.
A Better Way to Store a Collection.
At our Wayne, New Jersey flagship, Carbon Key will offer climate-controlled, CAT 5 rated storage for more than 750 exotic, collector, classic, and significant automobiles — supported by service, transport, inspections, vehicle care, collection management, and concierge under one roof.
We store the car.
We take care of the car.
We manage everything around the car.
What Happens After You Hand Us the Keys.
For every stored vehicle, depending on the service plan, Carbon Key can coordinate the full cycle of intake, care, movement, preparation, and documentation — in one place, against one record.
- Vehicle intake
- VIN verification
- Mileage record
- Arrival photos
- Condition record
- Key inventory
- Battery maintenance
- Tire pressure checks
- Fluid checks
- Service scheduling

Every Car Starts With a Record.
When a vehicle arrives at Wayne, the following is captured and stored against its master record — creating the baseline every future care decision and movement is measured against.
- VIN
- Mileage
- Fuel level
- Exterior condition
- Interior condition
- Wheel condition
- Tire condition
- Glass
- Warning lights
- Keys
- Accessories
- Documents
- Visible damage
- Photos
- Video where appropriate
- Special instructions
We Should Know What Changed.
Each vehicle can maintain a running condition history over time, so the owner and Carbon Key share one consistent story of the car rather than a pile of disconnected notes.
A consistent history of the vehicle — not a guess, not a folder of screenshots.
The baseline is the point.
Without a real intake record and condition history, every later question — “was that scratch there before?” — becomes someone’s memory. With one, it becomes a fact in the system.
The Boring Part of Ownership Is the Point.
Most collector-car frustration is not mechanical failure — it is the small, repetitive jobs that get missed until they become real problems. The Vault is set up to keep those jobs done.
Dead Batteries Shouldn’t Be Part of Collector Ownership.
- Battery tenders where appropriate
- Battery condition checks
- Charging status monitored
- Replacement coordination
- Vehicle-specific battery procedures
- Support for modern exotic and hybrid systems
Procedures vary by vehicle and manufacturer; nothing is promised that a specific platform doesn’t support.
Tires Matter Even When the Car Isn’t Moving.
- Tire pressure checks
- Visual tire inspection
- Tire age review
- Flat-spot awareness
- Replacement coordination
- Seasonal tire requirements
- Track and event preparation
A car sitting on underinflated or aged tires develops problems the owner doesn’t feel until the first drive of the season.
Storage Doesn’t Stop Maintenance.
- Oil service scheduling
- Brake fluid service
- Coolant
- Gearbox service
- Differential service
- Hydraulic systems
- Manufacturer maintenance
- Mechanical inspection
- Leak checks
- Warning light review
- Diagnostic work
All through the Wayne service center or trusted marque specialists — coordinated, not left to the owner to chase.
The Best Part Is Not Moving the Car Around Town.
If a stored vehicle needs maintenance, the owner should not be arranging tow trucks, pickup times, dealer appointments, and storage access. The car is already here — so service happens here.
- 01Client approves the service
- 02Carbon Key moves the vehicle internally
- 03Service is completed
- 04Documentation is uploaded
- 05Vehicle is cleaned if requested
- 06Vehicle returns to storage
- 07Client gets an update
Ready to Drive Should Mean Ready to Drive.
A stored car that gets called up for a weekend should arrive clean, charged, fueled, and correct — not dusty and disappointing. Detailing is scheduled in place before delivery.
- Maintenance washes
- Interior detailing
- Paint correction
- Ceramic coating coordination
- Paint protection film coordination
- Wheel cleaning
- Leather care
- Event preparation
- Delivery preparation
- Sale preparation
- Photography preparation
Paint & Body.
Tailored to collector and exotic vehicles — cosmetic and structural work without sending the car to an unrelated shop.
- Paint correction
- Cosmetic repair
- Body work
- Paint work
- Spray booth
- Wheel repair
- Panel correction
- Pre-sale cosmetic work
- Auction preparation
Vehicle Exercise.
Where appropriate and authorized, controlled vehicle exercise or movement programs can be arranged — never implied as a default for every car.
- Stationary checks
- Temperature cycle
- Short facility movement
- Authorized road exercise where permitted
- Client-defined instructions
Owner preferences govern. Some cars should simply be left alone.
Clear Service Categories. Exact Services Confirmed With You.
No invented pricing. The exact services, capacity, and rates are confirmed during intake based on your vehicles and how you actually use them.

Storage scales from convenience to operation. Carbon Key Wayne was designed to serve all of these — not just the big accounts.
One Car.
Winter storage. Temporary storage. Space during a move. A safe place for a supercar. Service coordination. Transport. Occasional delivery. Carbon Key can handle that — and nothing about a single-car owner should feel like a small account.

The Digital Garage.
The client portal is the practical view of the collection — what each car is doing right now and what it needs next.
What the client sees
- —What is stored
- —What is in service
- —What is being transported
- —What is out with them
- —What needs attention
- —What service is due
- —What documents exist
- —What appraisals exist
- —What insurance reviews are pending
- —What vehicles are for sale
- —What vehicles are being acquired
Actions from the portal
One owner. One team. One record per car — instead of five vendors and a shared drive.
Texting Someone “Can You Have the Car Ready?” Should Actually Be Enough.
Inside the portal, a vehicle request is a short, structured message — not a phone chain. The internal system creates the appropriate tasks automatically.
Request a Vehicle.

Then choose preparation
Choose a date, a time, a destination, and the preparation. Carbon Key handles the rest and confirms back.
Return the Car.
Done for the weekend? Request “Return to Storage” and Carbon Key coordinates enclosed pickup and brings the car back to Wayne — using the existing transport infrastructure.
Transport, Deeper.
A client should be able to store a vehicle without personally coordinating transport.
- Local enclosed transport
- Long-distance enclosed transport
- Dealer pickup
- Auction pickup
- Residence pickup
- Event transport
- Collection relocation
- Port pickup
- Airport-related vehicle logistics where appropriate
You Find the Car With Carbon Key.

Storage and Insurance Should Talk to Each Other.
Through Whitcroft Private, clients can request the reviews that stored collections actually need — with proper consent every time.
The Collection Should Have a Current View of Value.
Stored vehicles stay connected to Appraisal Intelligence — the owner can request a fresh view without anyone marketing the car.
Valuation reviews are initiated on request. Nothing is automatically listed for sale.
Market Monitoring, Opt-In.
For collectors who want it, optional monitoring surfaces only meaningful signals — never per-listing noise.
- Significant market movement
- Major comparable sale
- Value change
- Auction result
- Buyer demand
- Potential exit opportunity
Opt-in. No spam. Material events only.
You Don’t Need to Move the Car to Sell It.
If a client decides to sell, Carbon Key already holds the vehicle, the VIN, the photos, the condition, the service history, the appraisal, and the documents. None of that is recreated.
The client can request
Carbon Key already has
- The vehicle

Six Cars. One Request.
A client selecting a group of vehicles for an event should not be sending six separate messages. Everything lives under one event project.
The Operation, Made Understandable.
A serious storage operation should be legible — to the owner and to the team. Every car carries a clear status and a movement history.
Storage Status.
Simple, operational labels — the same ones used internally.
Vehicle Movement Log.
Every physical movement can be recorded.
Each entry records
One record per movement, attached to the car — not a clipboard.
Key Management.
Tracked without exposing security details.
- Number of keys
- Primary key
- Secondary key
- Key status
- Checked out
- Returned
Exact key-storage locations are never shown publicly.
Document Management.
Stored cars arrive with paperwork — and paperwork accumulates over time. Clients should not be managing separate folders.
- Title
- Registration
- Service history
- Window sticker
- Build sheet
- Manuals
- Invoices
- PPI
- Appraisal
- Insurance documents
- Sale documents

Flexible Accounts and Clear Permissions.
Storage Billing.
Flexible account structures support a single owner or a full collection — with add-on services billed alongside.
No pricing is published until confirmed.
Client Authorization.
For service and movement, client preferences are stored — never assumed.
- May start vehicle
- May move vehicle internally
- May road test
- May transport without separate approval under $X
- Service approval threshold
- Detail authorization
- Emergency contact
Emergency Protocols.
The facility maintains documented internal procedures. Operational security details are not disclosed publicly.
The Building Is the First Line of Protection.
A controlled environment for significant automobiles.
Collector vehicles age better in a stable environment. The Carbon Key Vault is climate controlled to hold consistent temperature and support humidity control, reducing the stress that ordinary storage puts on paint, leather, rubber, electronics, fluids, and battery systems over time. Controlled storage is about reducing extreme swings — not making scientific claims beyond what the facility actually delivers.
A controlled environment supports
CAT 5 RATED.
The Wayne flagship is engineered to a CAT 5 structural rating — meaning the building itself is designed to withstand severe weather and sustained high winds far beyond ordinary commercial construction. For a collection of significant automobiles, the structure is the first line of protection: reinforced framing, an engineered building envelope, and protected vehicle environments built in from the foundation, not added later. The rating reflects the documented structural standard the facility is being built to — not marketing language.
Security.
Credible, not theatrical. The list below describes the scope of control — not the architecture behind it.
- Controlled access
- Monitored facility
- Restricted storage areas
- Vehicle custody controls
- Movement tracking
- Visitor management
- Key management
Camera placement, alarm architecture, and access methods are not disclosed publicly.
The Wayne Advantage.
One location replaces a chain of unrelated vendors. The car does not move between shops, dealers, transporters, and storage to get one thing done.
The Carbon Key Vault
At the heart of the Wayne flagship is the Carbon Key Vault — a climate-controlled storage environment built to house more than 750 significant automobiles while connecting every vehicle to the broader Carbon Key ecosystem: service, detailing, transport, inspections, appraisal, insurance review, and collection management.

What We Do Not Want to Feel Like.
This is a serious collector facility. It is not:
- ✕Self-storage
- ✕A parking garage
- ✕Cheap monthly car storage
- ✕Generic valet parking
- ✕A warehouse rental
The page should feel operational, serious, and built for valuable vehicles — not a startup landing page.
