Why Carbon Key Transport

BUILT AROUND THE VEHICLE, NOT JUST THE ROUTE.

Collector cars often require more than ordinary vehicle shipping. Carbon Key coordinates around ground clearance, vehicle value, loading method, condition, weather, timing, storage, auction schedules, dealer schedules, inspection appointments, and delivery requirements — which is why booking through Carbon Key is different from simply booking a generic carrier online.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions, Answered Honestly

Do you offer enclosed transport?
Yes. Enclosed transport is our preferred service for exotic, collector, luxury, and high-value vehicles, with soft tie-downs, low-clearance loading, and lift-gate availability where supported.
Can you ship anywhere in the United States?
Carbon Key coordinates transport throughout the continental United States and selected additional domestic routes based on carrier availability. Coverage and timing depend on route, vehicle, and equipment.
Is the vehicle insured during transport?
Coverage limits and terms vary by carrier and shipment. Carbon Key reviews available carrier documentation — cargo coverage, certificates of insurance, and operating authority — and coordinates appropriate requirements based on the vehicle and move.
Can you transport hypercars?
Yes. Hypercars and rare collector vehicles are coordinated as high-value moves with enclosed transport, lift-gate requirements, coverage review, and manager approval where appropriate.
Can you transport non-running cars?
Yes. We coordinate carriers with non-running capability, winch loading, and the appropriate equipment. Running condition should be noted on the request so the carrier is prepared.
Can you coordinate lift-gate transport?
Yes. Lift-gate availability is reviewed against the vehicle and route; specific equipment is never promised until confirmed with the selected carrier.
Can you move an entire collection?
Yes. We coordinate multi-vehicle collection relocations, estate transitions, and seasonal moves as a single Collection Transport Project, with each vehicle tracked individually under one project.
Can you pick up from an auction?
Yes. We coordinate auction pickup and delivery, including release documents, pickup windows, and venue information. We do not imply formal partnership with any auction house unless one exists.
Can you deliver directly to a dealer or service center?
Yes. Dealer transfers and service-center deliveries are standard moves within our domestic network.
How long does shipping take?
Transit time depends on route, distance, carrier, equipment, and conditions. We provide an estimated delivery window once a carrier is selected — never a guaranteed timeline until confirmed.
Can I track my vehicle?
Where a carrier provides legitimate location data we show the last known update, update time, and estimated delivery window. If live tracking is unavailable we show carrier update, last contact, and estimated delivery — never fabricated GPS tracking.
What happens if there is a delay?
Delays are reported as structured issues with severity and resolution tracking. Carbon Key coordinates communications between the client and carrier and keeps you informed through approved updates.
Can you coordinate an inspection before transport?
Yes. Transport orders connect to our Inspections service — transport to a PPI, from a PPI, or an inspection before pickup and at delivery.
Can you arrange international shipping?
International shipping — customs, air freight, ocean freight, import compliance, and export coordination — is handled by our separate Import & Export service.Visit Import & Export
